Living on Long Island, NY, I love this time of year. The air starts to change and the sun starts to warm up the ground to show the flowers that will soon show their beautiful colors. And not only that, but right around the corner is Mother's day.
Mother's day means so many different things to different people. To me, it's a celebration of the amazing women in my life, be it my own mother, woman who I have come to call mom along my journey in my life because they have played that role, or the amazing woman I meet along my journey who are amazing mother's themselves.
Meet Sami and her mommy! This to me is what motherhood is all about. The in between moments when you can just breathe and enjoy the laughter and fun that life has to offer. I met Sammi's Mommy during a photo shoot I did for her. She is an amazing woman who does so much for her kiddos. She works with children as well, in the special education department. I know first hand how important that role is to those of use with children who need the extra help and loving hand to guide them along. I talked her into doing a photo shoot for herself, because as a mother myself, I understand how important it is to take time for yourself because we are always doing for others. It was an amazing shoot, so we decided that we must do a shoot with her and her daughter.
It was such an amazing shoot. The bond between mother and child is so unique and great. I am glad that Sami and her mom decided to have this shoot because they will have these memories and images to keep forever. So when Sami grows up, is out in the world, maybe a mother one day herself, she can look back on these images and remember how much love her mom had for and still has for her. Her mother will have these images to remember how little her baby girl was, and the joy and laughter they shared together.
I will be doing Mommy and Me sessions in April. These are limited edition sessions and only available for a short time. Contact me to book your session. These sessions will be something to treasure for years to come.
